7-Schritte-Programm für körperliche LeistungsfähigkeitThe EIGW 7-Step Programme — Part 2: Movement & Detoxification
Once ideal water is established as the foundation, Step 2 comes into focus: targeted movement that works synergistically with hydration. Step 3 — detoxification — only delivers full results when Steps 1 and 2 are already active.
Detoxification — More Energy Through a Relieved Body
Article Series · Part 2
A body that breaks down stress well has more strength for what matters
Why Detoxification Increases Performance
Every day the body takes in toxins — from the environment, food, and its own metabolism. A healthy body eliminates these substances through several pathways: via kidneys, liver, lungs, skin, and intestines. If this works well, energy remains for what matters. But if toxins accumulate in the connective tissue, this costs energy and makes you tired.
How Do You Support Body Detoxification?
The good news: The body detoxifies itself — we just need to support it. And with the same simple principles as before. This shows how closely the steps are connected: Detoxification only works with enough water (Step 1), is boosted by movement (Step 2), and needs a balanced acid-base environment (Step 3).
Simple Principles for Support
- Sufficient good water — it dilutes toxins and transports them out
- High-fiber diet — vegetables, fruits, whole grains bind pollutants in the intestines
- Sweating through exercise or sauna — the skin is an important elimination organ
- Reduce toxins where possible — cut back on harmful substances, pay attention to quality at home
Detoxification is the step where water becomes most visibly the key. Every toxin, every burden must be dissolved and transported outward — via kidneys, sweat, and intestines. All of this happens in water. Water that is already laden with lime, salts, and toxins (high conductivity) has little absorption capacity left for the poisons the body wants to get rid of. Pure, soft water, on the other hand, works like an empty school bus: It has room to take in the toxins and transport them out. This is why water quality in detoxification is not secondary, but decisive.
Nutrition — Quality Over Quantity as Fuel
Good nutrients are the fuel for physical and mental performance
What Really Matters in Healthy Eating
With nutrition, a simple principle applies: Quality over quantity. It's not about eating as little as possible, but eating the right things. Our modern diet often provides too many empty calories — too much sugar, too much processed fat — and at the same time too few real vital nutrients. Anyone who wants to increase their performance gives their body high-quality fuel.
Which Foods Increase Performance?
A central point is minerals and vital nutrients — and where they come from. The body uses minerals best in organic form, that is, from plants that have incorporated them into their metabolism. Colorful vegetables, dark berries, wild herbs, nuts, and high-quality oils also provide secondary plant compounds that protect cells as antioxidants. The Mediterranean diet — plenty of vegetables, good oils, little processed products — is one of the most well-researched dietary patterns in the world.
Simple Principles for Good Nutrition
- More plants, less meat — the plant-based portion should predominate
- Buy foods that your grandparents would have recognized as food — that is, unprocessed
- Colorful vegetables, fruits, nuts, high-quality oils — variety provides variety in vital nutrients
- As fresh, regional, and organic as possible
The best nutrients are of little use if they don't reach the cells. Water dissolves nutrients from food and transports them to where they are needed. However, if the transport medium is already "full," less arrives. Thus, water quality also determines how much of a high-quality diet actually reaches the body. Good food and good water are a team.
Recovery — How Sleep Recharges Your Batteries
In sleep, energy, concentration, and resilience are created for the next day
Why Good Sleep Makes You Perform Better
Performance is created not only through activity, but also through recovery. During sleep, the body recharges its batteries: It repairs tissues, consolidates learning in memory, and flushes metabolic byproducts from the brain. Those who sleep well wake up clear and energized. Those who sleep poorly undermine all other steps — because a tired body cannot deliver its performance.
How Many Hours of Sleep Are Optimal?
Sleep research is clear: Seven to nine hours are optimal for adults. Below six hours, performance measurably declines. It's not just the duration that matters, but also the quality — the restorative deep sleep in which regeneration occurs.
Simple Principles for Better Sleep
- Regular sleep times — go to bed and wake up at the same time if possible
- Dark, cool bedroom without phone and screens
- No heavy meals or caffeine in the evening
- Conscious breaks during the day — short rest periods are not weakness, but recovery
- Those who care for their body well during the day (water, movement) sleep better at night
Water also works during sleep: At night, the body flushes metabolic byproducts from the brain — dissolved and transported in water. If you drink too little water during the day or water that is too heavily burdened, you give this nightly cleansing worse conditions. A well-hydrated body regenerates more effectively. For this reason, it's also advisable to have a glass of good water in the evening, about one to one and a half hours before bedtime.
