7-Step Programme for Physical PerformanceWater & Cardiovascular Health: why good hydration keeps your heart system performing
A well-functioning cardiovascular system is the basis for energy and resilience. One of the simplest levers is often overlooked: water in the right quality.

Water and blood: a close relationship
Blood consists of roughly 90 percent water. It transports oxygen, nutrients and hormones - and removes metabolic waste. Good hydration keeps blood at optimal viscosity: too thick means the heart works harder. Sufficient water keeps the system flowing smoothly.
Blood pressure and hydration
Fluid deficit reduces blood volume - the heart must pump more frequently to maintain pressure. Electrolytes play a key role: potassium, magnesium and sodium regulate fluid balance and vascular tone.
Honest assessment: Water alone does not regulate blood pressure - it is one building block alongside nutrition, movement and stress management.
Water quality for the cardiovascular system
| Water type | Conductivity | For metabolism |
|---|---|---|
| German tap water | 480-700 uS | Bus nearly full |
| Plose, Lauretana, Voss | 20-80 uS | Good |
| Trink Dich Fit station | 10-50 uS | Optimal - all 3 Vincent parameters |
Support healthy blood lipids and vascular flexibility. In: oily fish, linseed oil, walnuts.
Regulate fluid balance and blood pressure. In: bananas, potatoes, nuts, green vegetables.
Protect blood vessels from oxidative stress. In: berries, dark chocolate, green tea, OPC.

Don't believe us - check for yourself
Tea test
Brew black tea with tap water and ideal water - tap water often shows an oily film.
Flower test
Same flowers in two vases - observe how long each stays fresh.
Animal test
A second bowl with ideal water next to the usual one - the animal chooses freely.
Window test
Clean a window with only ideal water - often dries streak-free due to low conductivity.
Frequently asked questions
Does water lower blood pressure?
Good hydration supports stable blood pressure - alongside nutrition, movement and medical care. Water alone does not regulate blood pressure.
How much water is good for the heart?
Around 1.5 to 2 litres daily, more with sport or heat. Regularly spread throughout the day.
